Below is a link to a collection of information accumulated from process that has lasted more than a year for the MCAOA and partners in addition to the Mapleton Water District engagement with the process over the last nine months.
The MWD link below will be updated throughout the public hearing process, the final vote and the transition period if the Board of Commissioners decides to proceed with the acquisition.
See our bio-field lagoon in this video clip? After spending time in the lagoon, wastewater is mixed with chemicals designed to bring the water into compliance. The wastewater is monitored and tested daily to ensure compliance with federal requirements.
Notice the puddles? Our sub-contractor. Shawn Burgess, trudges through that water in waders to get to the effluent cistern where samples of the effluent are measured. It's a wet mess in the winter and Shawn makes sure we are compliant.
